In town, looking SW on 2nd Street, close to intersection with 13th Avenue where the Fire Hall and Community Halls are located. Overlooking Haddington Island (to the right) on Broughton Strait and, on Vancouver Island, the community of Hyde Creek. Easy walking through town.

The Sointula Breakwater in Rough Bay, with gillnetters and trollers at the dock; looking NW past Piggy Point in the midground and Cluxewe estuary in the background. Lots of activity here.

From Kaleva Road, looking SW across Cormorant Channel to Hyde Creek on Vancouver Island, and further south,the Nimpkish Valley. Long stretch of cobble beach for walking.

The "North Shore" from the beach at Bere Point Regional Campground and Park, looking N/NE across Queen Charlotte Sound to Numas Island and Mainland B.C. Good hiking provided by trails - Bere Point Trail which joins up with Beautiful Bay Trail - or by the beach.

Early morning at Sam's Beach, looking NE across Queen Charlotte Sound to the BC Mainland. Beach in stretches of cobbles and sand. 4WD sometimes needed on access road.

Government dock at Mitchell Bay, looking NE along the main access road. Be prepared to see strolling oxen, as likely as strolling folks and dogs.
