The Library has over 6,700 books for borrowing and is part of the OUTLOOK program which helps us to borrow from other public libraries in the Province. Library membership is free to anyone living on Cormorant Island.

Our archives have over 6,000 digitized historic and contemporary photographs catalogued and available for public viewing. The catalogue is searchable by key words (year, subject, donor). The archives also include a collection of newspapers published in Alert Bay from 1939-1941, 1951-1964 and the more recent North Island Gazette.

Internet Access

Internet access is provided free of charge to the public at a limit of one half hour per session and up to one hour per day. The free Internet access is made possible thanks to the  Community Access Program by Industry Canada. Visitors and tourists welcome.
