Coleman Meadows Farm has approximately 85 acres of forest predominately Douglas Fir. The entire area is second growth from 80 to 60 years old. Selective harvesting and the use of blow down provides custom cut lumber and firewood to order. We are surrounded by a provincial woodlot and private forest lands. The forest is an integral part of the farm accommodating habitat for bumble bees, ungulate, bears, cougars and raptors. The protection of the Coho bearing stream ensures salmon for the future and good water quality. Our responsibility as stewards of the land is to manage what we have for future generations. |
