The Mission Statement

The intended purpose of Clayoquot Connections is to provide a more relaxing and affordable means of access for groups and families into Clayoquot Sound. This includes the newly created Vargas Island and Flores Island Provincial Parks, which we are fully insured and licenced to operate in. We also intend to provide access to activities that have not been available to visitors in the past such as island camping, hiking, beachcombing, family fishing, and alternative marine cruises such as the Harbour Cruise.

The slower pace of just 7 knots will allow guests the opportunity to enjoy the moment and reconnect with the outdoors. Through an experience of awareness and tranquility in the wilderness, Clayoquot Connections also intends to help develop boating skills and the confidence to sustain oneself at the Ocean's edge.

For those who wish to participate in investigating tidal lagoons, pools, remote island beaches, and the wildlife of the Sound, it is hoped they will gain an insight to the interdependent state of all the elements of nature. That is, how everything (including us) in the natural world is connected and how precious it truly is.
