The owner/operator (and web-site creator) is me, Dennis. I have lived in Clayoquot Sound for twelve years and for all but one year I have made my living on the water.My experience includes two seasons as a Whale Watching Skipper and eleven years Commercial Fishing.

The bulk of my commercial experience was as a 'Goose-neck Barnacle Harvester', usually as the skipper. The nature of this fishery is very dangerous as it envolves landing on the off-shore rocks and reefs throughout the year when the weather allows it.

This experience has given me intimate knowledge of Clayoquot Sound, a great respect for the ocean, and allowed me to observe the interaction of the tides and nature at the Ocean's edge.
