Galiano Island is approximately 25 miles long and 4 miles wide at its widest, with a fulltime population of 1000. Often referred to as the "jewel of the Gulf Islands", it has wonderful beaches and parks for the hiker, artists' studios, art galleries and a bookstore for the shopper plus a pub and good restaurants for the hungry. There are several ferries a day from Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen (see http://www.bcferries.com/schedules/southern/)

Fiddlesticks Cottage is a charming and comfortable two-bedroom (1 queen, 2 twins and a sleepable window seat), one-bathroom (with shower) bungalow with a large covered porch furnished for dining (with barbeque) or lounging. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, dishwasher and microwave, plus a washer and dryer. The living room has a 32" flat screen wall-mounted TV and DVD/CD player and gas fireplace.

 

 

It is located on the southern end of Galiano, a 15 minute minute drive from the ferry terminal at Sturdies Bay and 10 minutes from two food markets, a cafe and a liquor outlet. The cottage is on a very private and quiet 3 1/2 acres of meadow and forest, across the road from miles of walkable sandstone beach and the warmest ocean swimming on the island.

RATES:

Shoulder Season: April to June $130/night/ double occupancy

High Season: July to September $150/night/double occupancy

Low Season: October to March $110/night/double occupancy

Well behaved dogs are welcome to bring owners.

Additional guests $20 per night per person.

Deposit required at the time of booking.

In the event of a cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable. If the full amount of the rental has been paid (required 2 weeks in advance of the booking) and we are unable to re-book the cottage, the full amount of the rental fee is non-refundable but we would be happy to re-book you for another time. If you cancel and we are able to rebook the cottage at short notice, we would refund the balance of your rental fee, less the deposit.
