NEWS REGARDING THE NITINAT CAMPSITE. July 14, 2003 |
To the Membership of the Nitinat Windsurfing Society.
Ditidaht Forest Products Ltd has enterd into an agreement with the District Manager of the South Island Forest District to maintain the two Forest Recreation Sites, Nitinat Lake and Knob Point. The District Manager has given Ditidaht Forest Products the authority to collect fees for the provision of camping facilities on the Nitinat Site to help off-set the maintenance costs. The District Manager has determined that the fee for provision of camping facilities on this site will be $8.00/party/night. The exception will be those parties that have a senior or a disabled person. Those groups will be charged $5.00/party/night. No determination was made on a fee for the Knob Point site so no fee will be collected at that site at the present time.
