W.I.R.E.D 2002

Western Canada Formula Championships 2002

WHERE: Nitinat Lake, Vancouver Island, B.C.

WHEN: July 26, 27, 28, 2002

ELIGIBILITY: To participate you must be a member of the Nitinat Windsurfing Society. Membership will be available at the lake or fill out the online form

RULES: Current IWA rules and as modified by the racing instructions.   Formula restrictions will apply; one board with a max width of 100.5 cm any construction ( no daggerboard), 3 sails, max size of 12.5m2 for Men, 11.0m2 for Women and Youth, three fins of max length of 70cm. The ISAF restriction on boards and sails will not apply and equipment does not have to be on the 2002 ISAF approved list.

 W.I.R.E.D is a Windsurfing Festival that promotes Windsurfing Instruction, Racing, Equipment Knowledge, and provides opportunities for Demos.

COURSE RACING: Formula Course Racing

FREE STYLE: The classic W.I.R.E.D expression session. No restrictions on equipment or costume.
