An unpretentious, non-touristy fishing village on beautiful Malcolm Island was founded by Finnish immigrants at the turn of the century. This charming locale is the starting point for your Northern Vancouver Island wilderness experience.

THE SEA CAT

Is a high speed, comfortable way of packing a total water wilderness experience into a day. And safety is number one ! Flotation coats and refreshments are provided.

FISHING

Your guide is an experienced commercial and sport fishman. He knows the spots and how to fish them. Catch cod, halibut and of course, the best salmon in the world ! Rods and fishing tackle are provided.

WHALE WATCHING

Sointula is close to the world wildlife killer whale sanctuary, Robson Bight. You'll have the unique experience of seeing the famed killer whale pods.

ACCOMMODATIONS

If you wish, we will arrange accommodations for you, your family and friends at one of Sointula's bed and breakfast facilities. Or we can reserve rooms at the Sointula Hotel. If the outdoor life is more appealing, then set up camp in one of our island campsites. Be sure to call early to ensure availability.
