Companies on MALCOLM ISLAND can offer your group just the right setting for a memorable outdoor experience.
Visit the rugged and beautiful central coastline of British Columbia's Inside Passage. Take individually designed trips, accessing nearby or remote areas with the fullest respect for environmental responsibility. As an alternative to tour bus seek and find excursions, we encourage the study of nature's abundant animal and plant life at a sensitive distance, as it presents itself.
Pacific White-Sided Dolphins and Dall Porpoises often seek you out to play in the bow wave and you'll chuckle at seals too lazy and relaxed to stop sunning themselves on the rocks while cruising by. We have sighted Orcas, or Killer Whales, on more than 90 percent of our excursions, in the summer months.
The ever changing colours of rock lichens along the shoreline and seaweed on the beaches provide stunning contrast to the rich green rainforests and bleached driftwood logs along the countless miles of unspoiled shoreline we encounter.
Companies are based in the community of Sointula, (a Finnish word meaning 'place of harmony') on Malcolm Island, located just off Vancouver Island's northeastern shore between Port McNeill and the British Columbia mainland. Land accommodations and kayak rentals are available by advance reservation.
