    Aug 30  Bus leaves Wembley Mall at 8:15 for the Forrest Bus Tour of Butchart Gardens & Fireworks.

    Sept 4   Mixer at Q.B. Legion, pool, darts, shuffleboard available 7 – 9 Call Bob 250-954-1318 for info.

    Sept 10 Golf  -or-  Sightsee famous murals/Shops  and Dinner in Chemainus--Golf at 3:00 pm at Mt. Brenton Golf Course, Dinner at 5:30;  Costs: Golf & Dinner $31.00; Shopping/sightseeing  & Steak Dinner  $14.00.  Car pool will leave Parksville early afternoon, cost: $6 pp.  Call Donalda by Sept 5 at 1-250-245-2500 or Sheila at 250-248-6525 for reservations

    Sept 15Cruise on the “Lady Rose” from Port Alberni to Ucluelet, cost $70.00 return + $6 pp for carpool.  Cruise is from 8 am to 7 pm.  Carpool will leave Parksville at 6:45 am.   Call Sheila ASAP  or before deadline of Sept. 8 at 250-248-6525.

    Sept 19Birthday Dinner everyone come out to acknowledge & help all PGOSA Singles with birthdays in the month of Sept. celebrate their Birthdays.   Piper’s Pub, 4700 Hammond Bay Rd, Nanaimo 7:00 pm. Call Rudy 250-752-2767 by Sept 16 for reservations

    Sept 20 Some seats still available for Bus trip to Cowichan Valley Wine & Culinary Festival  $35 pp. Bus will leave Wembley Mall 8:15 am and visit Hilary’s Cheeseworks, Cherry Pointe Winery, Merridale Cider Works, Zanatta Winery and Godfrey Brownell Winery (if time permits) Lunch at Arbutus Ridge Golf Course (not included in price)  Payment at PV Community park picnic shelter Friday, Aug. 29, or call Jo ASAP at 250-248-0382.

    UPCOMING EVENTS:

    Eastern Caribbean Cruise, 7 nights aboard the Carnival Liberty Feb 20 – 28, 2009.    Costs to be determined by choice of accommodation, and will include round trip air Vancouver,  Miami Hotel  Feb 20, port and fuel surcharges & taxes.   Approx.  cost around  $1800 pp.  Call Rudy at 250-752-2767 or Karen at 250-937-8000.

    DANCES FOR ALL PGOSA MEMBERS:

    Every Wednesday Evening, dance to “Timberline”  at the P.V. Legion 7:30-10:30 pm by donation

    Sept 26Bradley Centre Dance   “Just Us”  8-11pm  $10 pp.

    Note:  Anyone that has ordered PGOSA Name Tags, please pick them up at the PGOSA Table in the Parksville  Arena  Mon, Wed, or Fri mornings from 9-11 am.
