In 1956 a small group of trollers recognized the need for a new organization, one that would advocate for the interests of troll fishermen. They banded together and founded the Pacific Trollers Association.
From that humble beginning, the PTA has continued to be the organization of choice for trollers coastwide. The Pacific Trollers Association is currently the only troll fishing organization that represents the interests of trollers from all three license areas of the BC coast.

Founded in 1956, the association has branches in various British Columbia coastal communities which have historically benefited from our member's activities. We continue to represent the interests of all trollers locally, and to the provincial and federal governments.
