Custom Painting Commissions

Lisa or Derek would create a custom painting that would fulfil a particular need for a customer's interior wall, weather it at a business or residence.  The following information is a sample contact and an individual price list.

1. Sample Contract:

Lisa or Derek Rickwood, B.F.A. (Artist) of RICKWOOD Fine Arts, 905 Girvin Avenue, Nanaimo, B.C., and Client Name(s) (Purchaser) on behalf of company or individual, address.

The parties agree as follows:

1. The artist shall paint an oil painting (unframed) of a scene that both parties agree to, for a price in Canadian or U.S. dollars, with a third down as deposit equaling amount in Canadian or U.S. dollars, and the balance paid by the purchaser when the artist delivers the completed painting. Rickwood Fine Arts will accept payment in cash, a certified check, or visa.

2. The purchaser also agrees to pay for the additional expenses associated with the above mentioned commission:

• The cost of the commissioned photographer (Approx. amount).
• The painting's framing cost (Approx. amount)
• The cost of primed stretched canvas and materials (Approx. amount)
• Other approximate miscellaneous costs associated to the painting commission
• Wine & Cheese Unveiling promotion costs.
• Shipping Costs

3. The purchaser agrees to lend the finished painting to the artist so that artist can promote it for period up to ___ week(s).

4. The artist would create the painting in approximately four (4) months, commencing once the painting's derived photographic image is agreeably selected by both above mentioned parties.
