Geshe Tashi Namgyal, whose
regular teachings and accessible guidance provide a rare opportunity to study all aspects
of Buddhism from a Hinayana, Mahayana, and Vajrayana perspective while experiencing the
subtle pressures of personal improvement through contact with this extremely good-natured,
witty, and insightful teacher. Geshe Tashi Namgyal is an
abbot, and holder of a Rabjampa and an Acharya degree. His teachings provide complementary
detail and motivation for comprehensive study. Emphasis is on integrating the teachings
into personal life - how to transcend unwholesome mental states; how to practice
stabilizing meditation and gain insight wisdom; and how to use the experiences so gained
for the betterment of work-related and personal activities. Most stressed is the need for
on-going study and practice at whatever level permits the student to maintain interest and
enthusiasm. There is encouragement, but no retribution. Consequently a small but dedicated
group of followers continues to practice in a friendly atmosphere with a most unusually
accessible and benevolent Lama. |
