From Sandsend Cottage turn left to Clayoquot Sound bordered by spectacular ancient rain forests offering outdoor and natural adventures to view whales and marine wildlife. You can take a walk through giant stands of virgin cedar on Meares Island or travel to the Ahousaht First Nations village and walk the Wildside Trail with their guides. Then stop in Tofino and indulge in local delicacies of the region or visit art galleries and immerse yourself in local and First Nations culture. Finish the day with a sunset paddle to Vargas Island.

OR you can turn right and head for Pacific Rim National Park and explore Long Beach. Discover tidal pools teaming with life or take an interpretive walk. Then head to Ucluelet for lunch, book a fishing charter, explore rugged Amphitrite Point and lighthouse via the Wild Pacific Trial, or kayak among the Broken Island Group
