Total trip time approximately 6 hours.

hotspringspool1.jpg (31624 bytes)The boat cruise will be on our12, 15 or 25-passenger cabin cruisers and is approx. 1 hour 15 minutes long each way. This leg of the tour takes us north through 26 miles of Clayoquot Sound to Hot Springs Cove. En route (weather permitting), we may view seals and stellar Sealion colonies on the wind swept ocean reefs. Stops may also be made at the favorite whale feeding bays to spy the gentle giants in their natural habitat, or even see Killer Whales (Orcas) as they pass through on their hunt for food. Stops may also be made for viewing the special bird life. (Eagles and their young, Puffins and a multitude of other species.)

Once at Hot Springs Cove we’ll disembark on Hot Springs Dock and head out on a 1.5 km. cedar boardwalk through pristine old  growth forest and rugged shore line out to the tip of the peninsula (Sharp Point) where the hot springs are located. There is a change room for changing into swimsuits. The hot springs are at ocean level and are almost boiling where they emerge from the ground then the Hot-spring travel down 15 meters, over a  waterfall (42 C.) and into several  natural rock pools. People in the lower pools at certain tides can enjoy a rush of cold ocean then hot  spring water. You then descend into the natural pools for a soothing soak in the mineral waters that is so good for the mind and the body! Bring a picnic lunch, refreshments, walking shoes, bathing suit, water slippers, a towel and a camera. We spend Hotspr.jpg (70647 bytes) approx. 3 hours on the Hot Springs portion of the tour. On the cruise back to Tofino, in your relaxed state of mind, you  will take in the breathtaking West Coast scenery. View first nation villages, temperate rainforests, and rugged mountains. Back in time to satisfy a huge appetite. A truly great way to spend a Clayoquot Day.
