Mid Island Cruiser Boat Rentals (formerly Skipper Bare Boat Charters) is located in Campbell River, BC on Vancouver Island, Canada and has been offering rental boats since 1996.

Campbell River is accessible by a four lane highway from Nanaimo, flights by West Jet Airlines to Comox direct from Calgary Alberta, or by Pacific Coastal Airlines from Vancouver. A float plane service is also available from Kenmore Air of Seattle, USA.

Campbell River, British Columbia is located right next door to Desolation Sound, the most popular boating destination on the British Columbia coast. The area provides excellent anchorages and plenty of warm water for swimming. You may expect to see whales, dolphins, seals, sea lions and a myriad of birds including bald eagles, which are regularly seen fishing in these waters. There are many spots where you can pick up fuel, groceries, etc.

We take pride in continuing to update our boats and equipment to ensure your complete satisfaction. We provide most everything that is needed for an enjoyable holiday on the water. Some exceptions include bedding, and fishing equipment, which is available for rent.

Effective September 15, 2009 all individuals renting a pleasure craft are required to complete a Rental Board Safety Check List unless they are the holders of proof of having taken and passed an approved boat safety operators course in Canada or their Country of origin. In addition all renters will be subject to a check-out on the craft they are renting by Mid Island Cruiser Boat Rentals to certify competence.
