RENTAL POLICIES

It has long been our practice to provide rental boats fully equipped for fishing and cruising and our rates have reflected this accordingly. We have found however, that many renters do not want to seriously fish and are more interested in cruising our beautiful Desolation Sound area to enjoy the warm waters for swimming and viewing the varied sea life of whales, dolphins, sea lions, etc.

Therefore a decision has been made to provide our boats with a cruising package comprised of the main items needed to enjoy an extended trip on the water. Typically these items will include a dinghy with oars, barbecue, fully equipped galley, and navigation equipment including moving map display GPS with sounder, in color for easy daytime viewing.

We now offer additional equipment on a rental basis. Equipment pakages are available to long term renters (7 days or more) on a discount basis. See our rate page for prices and discounts.

We encourage renters to arrive the day before departure in order to 'check you out' on the boat and give you time to buy your supplies from the nearby supermarket, and if needed, get your fishing licenses. You may, if you wish, stay on the boat overnight at no charge, so you can get an early start the next day.

Pets are permitted by prior approval, however pets that shed hair will not be approved.

It is our goal to provide reliable and properly equipped and maintained boats to ensure our customers have a smooth and trouble free holiday. In our 2007 season we did not attain this goal, due mainly to the failure of our then supplier of mechanical services to provide the level of maintenance required to meet this goal.

We have now changed to a new supplier of mechanical maintenance services who have brought all our boats up to the standard required by our company and expected by our customers. All boats are in the process of being thoroughly tested to ensure confidence in their reliability for the 2008 season.
