We Have Moved! Please update your links to www.taililodge.com. You should be taken to our new web site automatically. Dear Friends, In a world of blindingly rapid technological change and urban pressures, T’ai Li Lodge located on Cortes Island, British Columbia, offers a refuge of rare beauty and quiet tranquility. It has evolved over the years from a “water access only” coastal camp to a comfortable and flexible facility that retains the quiet and charm that has drawn guests here since 1993. We have strived to retain what we found here – the beauty of the natural world. We use ungroomed forest footpaths – no concrete walkways here. We ask our guests to bring flashlights as it is dark here at night. You will see constellations of stars that you probably have forgotten exist. T’ai Li (Ty Lee) is not for everyone. It has been created by nature and with the intention to provide a place where people can re-create a calm, clear peace of mind. Loosely translated from Chinese, T’ai Li means “a peaceful mind leads to clear vision.” The snow-capped mountains, the ocean, the forests and the abundant wildlife all conspire to bring us back to the basics of life. They are also a backdrop for great fun - swimming, hiking, kayaking, bird watching, and just plain hanging out. From Luxury Waterfront Accommodations to Gourmet Oceanfront CampingOur site has been arranged into two distinct sections; “The Lodge” and “Arbutus Point Camp.” They are available separately or together. We can accommodate singles, couples, families and groups up to twenty. Accommodations range from a luxurious waterfront home, “The Lodge”, to comfortable tent-cabins and tent platforms. You can even bring your own tent to a beautiful campsite on the ocean. These “gourmet camping” opportunities at Arbutus Point Camp are nestled in secluded sites along the water and easily accessible to Arbutus Commons which has kitchen, lounging and bathroom facilities for Arbutus Point Camp guests. Ideal for Yoga Retreats, Meetings and Family ReunionsPlease get in touch with us if you have been looking for a quiet and inspiring location for a yoga retreat, small meeting venue, or family reunion. Please contact us with any questions about the specific facilities of each site. Sincerely, Carol and Steve London P.S. We are home again after sailing out S.V. T'ai Li in Central American waters, a wonderful adventure that only strengthened our appreciation of the beauty and sense of community on this island we call home.
