Protecting our forest environment…

The rain forests of the Clayoquot Sound region are known around the world for their wild beauty and for the unmatched quality of their wood products.

Our objective is to ensure that the highest-quality products can be manufactured locally, without harming the long-term health of our forests.

· Doing more with less. Value-added wood businesses bring more value and create more jobs for each tree cut. This helps communities make the shift to more sustainable forestry practices.

· Taking the pressure off our forests. Many of our value-added wood businesses rely on salvaged wood – that is, wood left behind after logging, or collected as driftwood from local beaches.
