We are a dynamic and welcoming 90 voice mixed choral ensemble, currently entering our 75th anniversary season as Victoria's premier symphonic choir. We offer an ever-expanding repertoire of choral music, from classical to contemporary. Under the baton of our Music Director Giuseppe Pietraroia we present outstanding concerts, collaborating regularly with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra.
To excel in the performance of classical and contemporary choral works, to provide innovative development opportunities to young local artists, and to inspire joy and passion for choral music in our community.
We are a warm and friendly auditioned choir, accepting new members at the start of each season, and at the discretion of the Music Director through the year.
VCS is a non-profit registered charitable society, governed by an elected Board, and is a member of the British Columbia Choral Federation. We are committed to community service as an integral part of each season, performing in a variety of settings around the region and providing performance opportunities for Victoria musicians, with an emphasis on youth.
