This cluster of picturesque islands
in the sheltered waters of Barclay Sound off the west coast of
Vancouver Island is one of our favourite kayaking destinations.
The calm, crystal clear waters are home to porpoises, river otters,
sea-lions, migrating Grey whales and over 200 species of seabirds
and the intertidal zones are alive with brilliant sea-life. The
area is noted for incredible fishing (snapper, salmon, cod and
even small co-operative halibut have ended up in our frying pan)
and the sunsets are amazing! All this and more make this expedition
an outstanding adventure for the "wild at heart".

"...the
trip was great and one that I really needed...I got to see one
of the most beautiful places in the world...the combination of
such stunning sights, the surrounding silence and the security
of the kayak gave me a feeling of solitude and contentment...I've
been raving to all my friends about the beauty of British Columbia...they
definitely need to visit the Broken Islands! Thanks for the memories..."
